Welcome to the
Loma Prieta Paddlers
Whitewater paddling club
Servicing the California Bay Area paddling community since 1967
Welcome
We’re the Loma Prieta Paddlers, a whitewater paddling club based in the California Bay Area, and active in Sacramento and Tahoe. For over 50 years LPP has been supporting the paddling community by hosting weekly pool roll sessions, a full schedule of river trips and an annual whitewater slalom race.
We welcome all kinds of whitewater boaters from those new to the sport to those with years of paddling experience. Club membership is easy, there are no club dues nor secret handshake to learn.
To become a member all you need to do is participate; join our social media, practice in the pool or join a trip. If you’re new to the area, are looking to improve your paddling skills or you just want to paddle with an enjoyable group of fellow kayakers, learn how you can get involved with LPP. We’ll see you on the river.
What we do

LPP is an activity section of the Sierra Club and an American Canoe Association Paddle America Club. You don’t need to be a Sierra Club or ACA member to paddle with LPP, but we certainly encourage it.
