Foothill
Conservancy
The primary environmental organization working for conservation and
restoration of the upper Mokelumne River. They helped open the Middle Bar
reach to public access and secured the construction of the boating
takeout, played a major role in negotiating the PG&E hydro
settlement/new license on the river, are the main advocates for North
Fork Mokelumne Wild and Scenic designation, and sponsor the annual
Mokelumne River cleanup.
